    Dog Food

I just adopted a 1-year-old Catahoula and was wondering if anyone has food recommendations? I'm not trying to break the bank, but I want to make sure the dog has good quality food. Thanks!

I feed purine pro plan because of what they do for the retriever sport I'm involved in, but as BR said..Victor is great food as well.

Texas Tripe beef blend - great natural food that's a very decent price.

The difference is night and day.

Research yourself and you will see how bad some of the major brands are for your dog. Lots of sites that will tell you how good most of the major foods for dogs are in relationship to how good or bad they are for your dog. Might surprise you!

my daughter feeds her dog www.hungrybark.com food. 24 lbs of salmon protein dry food and hip supplements are drop-shipped every 6 weeks. It comes out to $1.50 per day. The dog was abused, beaten, and used to produce litters. Found on the side of the road, Morgan adopted this fawn colored Doberman. Her ears, tail, and dew claws were properly cut as spent money on the dig when she was a puppy. I’m very pleased with the her coat and how she has responded to the food and supplements.

Any recommendations on training them to track? I was planning on trying to train him to track deer.

Merrick Bison and Sweet Potato because my JRT is allergic to everything. No grains, no chicken, and that’s the first or second ingredient in most dry dog foods.
