Default What Work Boots Are You Wearing?

Time for a new pair of work boots and didn't know if anyone had some good recommendations. I've always worn Justin Work Boots but the last pair didn't last long and think there are more comfortable options (sole came lose from boot less than 12 months) so looking at others.

Eyeballing the New Red Wing Rio Flex. Any feedback, suggestions or ones to stay away from would be appreciated.

Redwing Lace ups with their cooper inserts. I put a 3-5 applications of mink oil on them and once it is soaked in i use a clear polish, makes them shiny and bullet proof.
6" super sole 2.0

I wear Wesco Firestormers. Im not a wildland fire fighter but we have a team here at work and alot of those guys wear them. Im a mechanic / welder so I like the fireproofness, kevlar stitching, and general toughness of the boot. They are buy once, cry once boots at $450 bucks but are totally rebuildable. Ive been through Redwing, Danner, etc and they are just getting to be a joke over the years. These guys have been around 100 yrs and still handmade in Oregon. (cheaper at Baker shoe in Cali)

I get an allowance for new work boots every year. I have tried just about every brand. My top three choices are Georgia Boot, Red Wing, and Justin in that order. My Georgia Boot and Red Wings are wedges while my Justins were not. Its hard to beat the comfort of the Georiga boots and the leather is really soft and already broken in it seems like.

Iíve worn Justin and Ariat pull ons for years but my feet just started hating me. I finally switched to 8Ē lace up wedge sole Thorogoods and I feel like Iím walking in sneakers even after 12-14 hour days. I now have 2 pair, one waterproof for winter and one standard pair I wear the rest of the year. American made and can get them resoled for $60.

I bought a pair of R. Watson square-toed work boots @ NRS last week. My 3 yr old Justin's were coming apart inside & out. Very pleased with them so far.

I'm a Georgia boot fan as well. I have a couple pairs of work boots and a pair of casuals. Very well built and comfortable.

Twisted X composite square toe. Comfortable - and durable. My SIL walks on hot bar grating all day and used to shred the soles on everything. Twisted X has held up best for him. I tried them based on his suggestion and never looked back.

Justin work boots are made in China now. The ones at Academy anyway. Regular Justin boots are still made in Texas. Ariats....China garbage. I wear my Anderson Beans for work now.

I wear Hondo Boots for work and have since 2011. They are reasonably priced and hold up for typically 2 years. I usually have them resoled once. Hope this helps!

Justin’s because they are free but the suck stitching rips on the inside heel area and the soles wear fast.

This last time, I was talked into the Red Wing square toes. They are actually really comfortable. I'm still having trouble getting past the looks though. In a size 15, they look like you just stuck a couple of shoe boxes on your feet.

The Red Wings I had recently were garbage. The sole on one boot came unglued and the other sole cracked across the ball of the foot. I'm currently wearing a pair of Thorogoods. I hadn't heard of them until I bought this pair. They are made of good leather and the sole is the kind without the heel, that goes straight across. I work at a power plant and I'm on my feet all day.
These boots are comfy, and are holding up well.
