Default Hunters ed question

I don't get to spend much time with my grandson but this year I will be able to take him on youth weekend to hunt. His dad is not a hunter so he has never been hunting. He has shot firearms and does know gun safety. This leads to the question. I would like for him to take the hunter ed class but am not sure of any study material for him to look over. I took the class in 1976 so i'm sure it has changed some. If I had more time with him I could teach him a lot but unfortunately that is not the case. Hopefully this hunting trip will light a fire in him and he will want to keep hunting. I will be in the blind with him so I know the hunters ed is not needed but I would like for him to at least have a foundation to build on. So other than gun safety what are some things we should be looking at?
