Crap...smoker went out....am I screwed?

    Ended up being pretty dang good. Perfect tenderness, great bark, flavor was amazing, was a little dryer than I would have liked but not bad at all. Only thing lacking was the smoke ring but that is really all I can complain about so I’m very happy. Family scarfed it down!

          It does have a little ring to it but not what you would get off a stick burner after 16 hours. But I agree 1000%... smoke ring don’t mean crap to folks just wanting a great tasking brisket. Ain’t no competition going on here today.

                Yes. I had not cleaned out the little fire burner bowl in forever and I think it got clogged. Blew it out and back in business.

                    Had the same thing happen on my Pit Boss a few smokes ago...ended up replacing the thermometer and all has been good...(I bought it cheap as a return).

                    I panicked but it still came out great...what kind of pellet smoker are you using.

                    I've invested in a Thermoworks Smoke for monitoring and it has been really helpful. Ill post up next time they have them on sale

                      Ha also a pit boss and got it on clearance a couple years back when they were clearing out all the grills to make room for Christmas stuff. I ordered ThermoPro TP20 on Amazon this afternoon. Should eliminate this issue, well at least I will realize the thing is cooling down before it just sits for a couple hours.

                        I have the ThermoPro TP20, have used it for about a year. Love It! Works great!
