      It’s common with a lot of new heat pump units. To me I think it’s a oil in the new evaporator coils. That will eventually rinse its self out with the condensation dripping off. Factory will oil up and pressure test coil’s for leaks before sending out.
      My 2 cents.
      Heat pump units- use Freon for heat in cool-not just electric heat strips.

        I’ve taken many air handlers apart for instal to shed some over all weight going up in attic. I pull evap coils out and there is a oil film on the coil for sure.

          There is a lemon scented non rinse “cleaner” you can spray in the evap coil. It’ll foam up, and self rinse. It will add a lemon scent-and possibly help rinse the oils out the coil fins.
