    Big bobcat.

    Pic shows a 70lb lab next to a bobcat. The cat was 38 inches from head to tail. Weighed 42lbs. I caught it in a snare, biggest cat ive ever seen in person. Click image for larger version

      42lbs is an extremely large bobcat.. A freak.. If your scale wasn't malfunctioning you may have a record..

            I did not weigh it, my taxidermist weighed it. Personally, I picked it up and I think it was around 35lbs. It was the biggest cat I’ve ever seen in person.

                  That's a good cat. Was it a Male? I have caught hundreds and the biggest I every caught was 38 on certified scales. Great cat but it doesn't look that big to me.

                    38 inches head to end of the tail or the base of the tail??
                    Nice cat for sure and should make a great mount with the skin it’s wearing.

                        It was a male, I agree that the weight might be a little high, but I bet he was every bit of 35lbs.
