    Conservation Goose HUnt Recomendations

Looking to go on a conservation snow goose hunt in Feb. Anyone have any recommendations? I've been looking at west fork outfitters in McCory Ark. $550 for a 2 day hunt with guide, lodging and meals provided. Looking for one in Arkansas but anywhere will be considered.
    Thanks

We’ve been hunting with Northern Skies Outfitters out of Jonesboro for I don’t remember how many years now. There are so many outfits running spring hunts there now it’s hard to say who is good or bad. We talked to some guys last year that hunted with Hunt Up North and only had good things to say about them. I know Dirty Bird kills a bunch of geese too. Also, don’t expect to go up there and smash them. We’ve had some real good hunts and we’ve had bad ones. Last year we killed 8 total. Lol. Bad batch. Should be better this year. My suggestion is to book a hunt with someone that specializes in spring snow goose hunting.

Most of the guys that I know that used to take people out have hung it up. It's a lot of trouble!

I think the conservation system is a little late, I wish they'd open it up earlier so more of the sky carp could be turned into fertilize.

I rode around some yesterday just looking before that rain came through. Unreal numbers about 10 miles south of my duck hunting area.

Hope they continue to build. I’ll be up there Feb. 1.

There have been quite a few specks around all season. Snows are starting to show up & should continue to get better (or worse, depending on how you look at it) as January goes. Weather forecast looks fairly mild here, so if its cold in MO & IA, it should be good.

Yesterday was the first time I noticed flocks covering 20+ acres in multiple locations there close to us. Not those little 1k bird scattered flocks, like ricked up.

I hunt in the same group with this guy. Find an outfitter that has been doing conservation hunts in Arkansas for a while. This will be our 5th year with northern Skies and Mat and his guides treat us pretty good

Can anyone tell me what Northern Sky charges? You can PM me if you don’t want it posted here.

And do they provide meals and lodging?
              Thanks

I believe it’s $235/day or something like that. No lodging or meals. We split hotel rooms and eat out in Jonesboro and bring snacks with us to the blind.

If you do 3 or more days with them in a row there is a price break, I believe its either 200 or 190 a day
