Ok so a little backstory. Last year around this time I killed my first copperhead at the new house. It was in a flowerbed right behind our patio. Growing up in East Texas I’ve seen my fair share of copperheads, even had one strike my shoe as a kid! Well the very next night my dog was bit. This was not a coincidence. I went outside the very next night with a headlamp to see if I could find one. Now here’s where the story turns...
Headlamp, no shoes, no pants, only using a tee ball bat I killed 7 snakes that night, and the next night and the next night and the next night. I ended up killing 27 copperhead snakes in my 1.5 acre manicured lawn...
Turns out, they were all going to the oak trees in my yard to eat the cicadas coming out of the ground. I would have them coming toward a specific flower bed from all directions. I would kill one and turn around and there was another one coming towards me.
