Festool Sanders

Are they worth the money? I know nice tools make work easier, I have just never used anything beyond my dewalt random orbit sander. Which festool model is the best, or at least the best compliment for my planer, drum sander and basic orbital sander?

I did not care for the festool sanders I have had. Not worth the extra $ in my opinion, at least not for what I do.

We use the Makita 5" variable (BO5030) for cabinet parts and edges and use a Bosch 3725DEVS to sand our butcher block tops. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I dont have the compressor for a dynabride, but it is tempting. That Bosh, or one similar might be what I was looking for at half the money of a festool

I have never even held a Festool tool, so take this for what it's worth.

A Seiko and a Rolex both do the same job.
