Dove hunting essentials

I haven't hunted dove in years and now have an awesome spot in my back yard, so no excuses.

Besides the obvious (gun and a pallet of shells), what's your set up look like? Bucket? Chair? Vest? Belt and pouches? Mojos?

I need to go shopping.

In recent years I’ve given up on buckets/stools, chairs. I just sit on the tailgate so I can stay closer to the beer cooler.

I like the shell pouches on a belt and turn it backwards so the bird bag is in front. That way you can sit down without sitting on your birds. Sunscreen or big brimmed hat and of course cold drinks. Wet wipes or wet rag to keep blood off hands, to keep it off my shotty.

I throw out a small blue tarp on the ground just beyond the mojos. Maybe they think it is water.

Ice cold water, ice cold beer. Keep off the claws. Sunglasses or tinted safety goggles.

Shade, usually under a tree.

You may not need it, but where I hunt OFF! Deep Woods Insect Repellent sure comes in handy.

Gun,shells,hunting vest and I like to sit on the tailgate of a pickup and shoot or just whatever I can find if not. Old buckets,tires,fallen down trees and sometimes the ground if nothin else.
