Spent the past 2 days at our lease near Moran.
Lots of does but did not see much buck movement. All young bucks and not much interest in the does. .
We see the best daylight movement for older bucks the week of thanksgiving- think it's still a bit early for us.
A good cold front would really help.

                    The pet is dead.

                    11 point.

The hunter messing with a camera did not notice him until the buck started crossing the creek.

See post #80 in this thread.

We had this 11 point buck visit our camp and hang out almost nightly.

Wasn't scared of us, probably could have hand fed him except its the wrong time of the year to get in front of such a brute.

We had an almost mutual no-shoot agreement among the hunters, but that hunter did not recognize him until it was too late.

We think it was a pet or escaped from the south high fence ranch.

That's a shame. It is neat to have 'wild' creatures that you get the opportunity to see up close and to watch them year after year. We have some that we have watched from spotted babies to 6-7 yr. olds. Mom always fusses at them when she catches them in her flower beds.
Hope you can find a replacement.
