ESPN has a story about 23 missed strike calls last night from the Ump… the most of any game this post season… 12 by Sox and 11 by Houston….
But the only one they are talking about is the one against Brantley… where yes in slow motion it his the corner ……

100% agree. Maldi is 10x the catcher that Castro is a hitter.

I concur...there is so much more to the position than most folks can imagine, and Maldonado is near the top of the list when it comes to calling a game. Keep Maldi where he is, and let Castro come in to pinch hit IF its a close game and the 9 hole comes up with runners on base. The majority of the game, Machete needs to be behind the pate, framing pitches, calling the game, doing what he does best...just my opinion
