Son was lucky enough to draw a permit for this one. I know it's a ways off but curious if anyone has been on a turkey hunt out there and any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Congrats! I hunted it many years ago. I remember it was VERY thick in my compartment. Tons of turkey tracks on the road and plenty of places to set up for an ambush. I saw a group of gobblers strutting while I was scouting my compartment before the hunt but wasn't lucky enough to shoot one during the hunt. I didn't hear a gobble the whole hunt. Called in a couple hens to my decoy though which was funny. Beautiful country.

Tracks were going to the water trough in my compartment so I would set up near water if I were you. I was set up on a trail I had seen them on during scouting.
