I really think that is the prettiest south texas deer I have ever seen. Super awesome deer man! You'll be hoping for more like him/dreaming about that sucker for years to come.

No he was way heavier. Last year was his ugliest year I think.

Year 5 he looked darn good from the front, but he didnít have any mass or beam length.

This is the first year I could look at him in profile and not be disappointed... but Iím really critical of deer.

Donít know if the hunter was or not. As deer contests blur the lines of entry between native and genetically altered deer herds, I havenít encouraged people to enter bucks from our place.

They stand with others that have chosen the same path.

Thanks. Not sure what year I saw an angle of that made me wonder. I have trouble sizing up a deer of that caliber from picture to picture.

Congrats to you guys and your program, admirable the way y'all go about it.

Awesome looking deer but in your situation I wouldnít Hesitate to give him another year. Next year, post-skeletal maturity, you could see him take a nice jump on the head gear and would be worth the gamble. Thanks for sharing.

I realize some of the sponsors here started complaining about you posting pictures on here but surely to close this one up you could post at least one picture here. I don't do the twitter deal but would love to see how he ended up.

I dont know that it was sponsors... I just got grief from people that I was "bragging" about deer. Which I don't. I'm pretty matter of fact about them. I think they're cool and posted to others who might also.

The social media deal is just a better setting... James can post whatever he wants here without the stigma.

Thanks Big Mike M I guess I had missed that posting.

Encinal well I always liked your pictures and respected your skills in developing a native herd of deer. For the people that cried because they could not compete maybe we need to give them a participation ribbon so they can fell good about themselves........
