Not an XLR8, but the other one.

What kind of speed could I expect with a 28" draw, shooting a 425 grain arrow at 65lbs? What about 70lbs?

If I did my calculations right here is an estimate of what you would get out of it:

@ 70lbs: about 301 fps
IB0 is 353
-20 for draw length
-25 for arrow weight
-7 for about 20 grains on string (est.)

@ 65lbs about 291 fps
same as above but -10 for 5lbs of draw weight

You should get enough speed to allow you to reduce the poundage.

His weigh 400 grains more than my Goldtips. Lol
I'm a 28.5" draw and hunt at 62lbs.

Had a monster 6 last year at 70lbs 28" with a 350gr arrow I was getting 330 and the same bow backed down to 60lbs with a 316gr arrow was getting 323, but had nothing but a loop and peep on the string. one of my guys was shooting a 6 at 27" 51pd with a 395gr arrow and getting in the 290s

I like the 7 better though, even though its not as fast.
