Why is it some of the pics posted on here are huge and I had to shrink mine down so much?

Instead of bringing the pixel x pixel size down so much, just bring them down to around 800x600 and then bring the quality down to get the file size down to an acceptible size. Your batch conversion software should be able to do that.

Artemis if you need any info/insight into other Oly lenses let me know.

From what I've been told the Oly menus aren't as user friendly for us newbies as the Nikons and Canons.

Not sure on that one since I've never seen the Nikon or Canon menus. I know that the controls are similar.
