Drone Hovering Over Me While Hunting

This morning while hunting I had a drone fly over and then start hovering over my feeder. I stepped out to where I assume the person flying it saw me and it took off. I contacted the land owner and she was just as shocked as I was. 900 acre place surrounded by other very large ranches.

Would have passed me off today, but I would guess the situation has been resolved.

Don't know where it came from but I saw which way it flew off. Told the land owner and she said she knows the person that lives in the direction it flew and she would reach out to them. I guess it's a good thing I didn't have a shotgun with me cause shooting it down crossed my mind. Bout to get back in stand for a long afternoon/evening hunt.

A Lot of utility company's are using them to check lines and right of ways.

not hunting sets/feeders, though. Not cool either way.

LDP next time, don't pass them they don't get any bigger and don't spread good genes.

Lol, would've been hard to shoot out of the sky with bow and I wasn't sure about taking a shot into the air with AR. Shotgun would've been a different story.

Just whip out your junk and give em a show.

As far as shooting it down...

It’s a scenario that isn’t hard for security professionals to imagine:  Someone spots a drone hovering inside your secure facility’s perimeter, over your event, or during your emergency response operation. The drone’s presence is at best a nuisance, and at worst, might damage people or property, or interfere with your principle mission. What options do you have? The kneejerk response from most is, “shoot it down.” But that’s where things get complicated. There is no shortage of counter-UAS technology on the market, should you want . . .
