Well I guess I either have to stop encouraging other guys on the lease to take up bow hunting or get out there and start hunting myself
I won't be able to go for 3 more weeks
For the first 7-8 years we were on our place no one bow hunted at all. I started about 6-7 years ago.
I got 1 other guy started 2 years ago and he shot a really nice buck the 2nd weekend after I passed on him the first weekend. I got 2 guys going this year for the first time.
Craig a TBH learker shot at and hit a really good 16 point opening weekend. The shot was a bit high and missed all the vitals. We believe that the deer is ok and will be back.
Cole went this morning after his first ever deer of any kind with a bow. Well he done good!
He connected with this 11 point on his first attempt. He was super excited to say the least. He told me he might be through with gun hunting. He videoed it and I will try and post it later.
All kidding a side. I couldn't be anymore excited for both of them. I wished the other 4 would join in the obsession.
