Went to the lease yesterday. Filled feeders, mowed at camp, trimmed trees around camper. I put up new bow stand at one of my feeders the the pigs have been hammering. While there I poured half a bag of corn on trail in front of stand. Left that spot at 4. Go back to camp and put all the tools away. At 6 I went to stick a pig. Corn was gone already. Set feeder off and got in stand. At 730 4 piglets about 50-60 lbs show up. I go to draw back and didn’t realize how wore out I was. I couldn’t pull back while sitting. I slowly stand up and a big sow comes out. I go to pull back and I’m straining and shaking, but I get it pulled back. Line it up and let her rip. Hit her a little high and arrow didn’t pass through. No blood. I looked for about 10 minutes in woods so think you are pretty much on hands and knees.
I’ll lose an arrow any day to hear one squeal. Good times.
