Have a good friend that owns a few hundred high fenced acres in Lee County and, along with the axis deer he has put on there, he wants to bring in some good whitetail genetics. He calls me up and says “ hey, you and Melissa come up here and spend the weekend with us and help me kill some deer... I want as many whitetail killed as I can get and I need your help”
I said cool... I have lots of bullets!!
We had been in the stand less than 5 minutes when a few doe eased out and while we were watching them Melissa says “ KEVIN!! KEVIN!! LOOK!!!
I grabbed the binos, glanced at the buck and said “hang that barrel out the window and send it!!”
She made a great shot and when he folded up ... that’s when I noticed how bad the entire stand was shaking. He’s not a world class trophy but he her personal best and a really good Lee County 8
