Is there a watermelon shortage?

Stopped by the HEB in Bastrop today. Right when you walk in there was a big box of watermelons. I'm like I got to have me one. Then I saw the price. Is this price gouging? Should I call the Attorney General's office and report this.




Also saw some of these. Do they make for a good laxative? I mean after the toilet paper shortage you never know when you might have to improvise. A laxative shortage could be on the horizon.

I saw watermelons being handed out in the “Free” food lines here in the Houston area. Maybe they are being hoarded. I’d rather have some Salami and a loaf of bread. Watermelon isn’t very filling.

Happens all the time on my watermelon bins with the signage. A customer hits the price sign with their shopping cart and they either leave the yellow sign on the floor or they put it back without checking what price they're putting.
