Vortex cantilever mount help

Hey y’all

So I picked one of these up. Is there a right and wrong way of using it!? I’ve seen pictures with it facing both ways. I can’t find a straight answer.
I tried to sight in the new ar10 using this mount and a vortex diamondback scope. I got it on paper at frickin 10 yards. 4” low and 4” right. I completely out of adjustment. Didn’t even want to shoot it at 50 or 100 for that matter.
Any help is very much appreciated. Don’t we have a vortex rep In our group

Switched it around, moved turrets back to middle. On paper at 50 for first shot. Made adjustment, moved to 100 and I’m in the middle. 2 more shots made for a 1 inch group at 100. I’ll take that anyday! Thanks fellas
