After many years, I still like my leupold Yosemite’s.
For hog, turkey or archery, the light, small size is perfect and clear.
I use 6x, but 10x would be a good size at reasonable distances.
Try before you buy anything else. $100-130
Second favorite is the vortex diamondback.

Highly recommend the Yosemite 8x30. Quality affordable glass.

I suggest skipping your next planned eating out trip, throwing that $$ to your budget and getting a pair of Vortex Diamondbacks. You won't think they are budget level looking thru them. Very good glass for the money. I found mine for $189. I went with them on recommendations from here on The Green Screen.

Lol I just took the family out to eat, would’ve been a 1/3 closer to getting some Vortex Binos...

You’ll be a lot better off saving the extra $50-ish and buying the Vortex Diamondbacks. They are tons better than any other Sub-$200 Binos that I have tried. I think you’ll regret cheaping out in the long run.

I've got a $200 pair of Nikons that have been great for the price. 10x42s like these https://www.cabelas.com/product/NIKO...B&gclsrc=aw.ds

This. I bought a pair of mavens and still use my red field as backup. Great glass for the price.

You’d be surprised at what you can get on eBay at the price.

I was plenty happy with my Diamondbacks right up until I wasn't

                                But their warranty is great

They can usually be had for $130 if you can wait around for Black Friday sales.
