If there is, probably not much. Been awfully dry around here.

It is very wet down there right now. Sloughs may not be holding much water but it is a muddy, sticky mess.

I’ll be there on the 6th too. Probably stay the first weekend and maybe go back on Wed or whichever day is a holiday. Not gonna have much time to hunt this one unfortunately.

Yeah, my neighbor kid for his first deer. Little button buck, but he was excited just like if he shot a monster and that’s what matters.

Saw a little forky and nice, but narrow young 8 this morning.

A couple of other kids got good bucks.

What’s the cell service like out there, for Verizon?

I have AT&T and it was spotty and slow. There was a little better service up at the check station, expect no service out in the hunting area.

Verizon generally has service at the river and the checkstation. ATT service has improved over the past year and has pretty good coverage.

I had service while up in a tree and at the check station but not on the ground.

Got everything together. Load up the truck in the morning and head out. Hoping to arrive around 9:30 or 10 and get camp set up. Depending on service, I might try my hand at a first live hunt. I can hunt all the way till Wednesday morning. Hoping I don’t have to stay that long lol!!
