    Yellow leaves on grapefruit tree

Just planted a bare rooted grape fruit tree this winter. The leaves are turning yellow. I know that is a sign of over watering but it is in well drained soil and hasn’t had any water since last weeks rain. How do I fix this?

My granny would have me put a fertilizer stake by all her citrus. Lighten up on water, put a stake in the ground, and see how that helps. The last citrus I planted for her took a bit to get right but it’s a major producer now.

Iron chlorosis. You probably have alkaline soil. It blocks the uptake of the good stuff even if you fertilize. Put some iron chelate or iron sulfate out. Also you can buy a citrus spray you spray on the leaves that works really well to help them uptake. It's common this time of year. Mine do it too.
