5 Year Anniversary One Night Trip???

My wife and I will be celebrating our fifth anniversary next month. I would like to take her somewhere nice for a one night getaway. We have a 10 week old son that I will not be able to talk her into being away from for more than two days! Any good recommendations for February within 4 hours of Lufkin?

Looking for nice place to stay and what to do?

Does "she" prefer remote cabin getaway, or a night out dancing and dining?

I should have specified. Probably more night out with convenience of room service etc. Maybe some spa treatments.

Night out I would suggest Hot Springs or Fredericksburg. Both of those are cool towns with Spa's and things to do and not too far away.

Book a bed and breakfast in Natchitoches, La. Spend the day browsing the shops on Front St., grab lunch at Lasyone's or Merci Beacoup while you're there. You can get dinner down there or go out to Mariner's on the lake for a nice dinner. You're within a couple hours of home too.

I'm doing this pretty soon for someones birthday. Nice hotel, dinner, dancing, concert and never have to drive. I haven't been before but I know several that have and sounds like a good one night place to hang out.

Live! by Loews in Arlington, TX provides a luxury hotel room & suite experience for families, sports fans, and anyone near Globe Life Park & AT&T Stadium.

Omni Fort Worth or Worthington Fort Worth are also a good place with clubs and dining within walking distance.

Book your stay at Omni Fort Worth Hotel. Visit the Fort Worth Stockyards, Sundance Square, or AT&T Stadium, conveniently located near our downtown hotel.

I'm sure there'll be some backlash for this recommendation, but we love Galveston in the winter. But you have to go down to the west end where there's no seawall.

Pointe West (near San Luis Pass) has a ton of condos available for the weekend and all have big balconies facing the water. Let the kiddo sleep and have a few cocktails with momma on the balcony.

Yea, my wife and I did Galveston a couple of years ago as well. Stayed at The Tremont House, walked the Strand and had dinner at Rudy & Paco's. It was very enjoyable.
