You heard any of Todd LaTorre's solo album? Pretty solid. Nothing like Queensryche.

Ok, so I'm seeing some metal-loving folks around, so I can share. There's been an increase in new metal bands bringing back some of the old-school sounds. Here's a few I've discovered:
            • Gygax (incredible Thin-Lizzy-like guitar work, DND and fantasy themes, fun listen)
            • Visigoth (based out of Salt Lake City - impressive band)
            • Metalian (Canadian band with super high vocals and fast pace)
            • Hellfire (CA folks with lots of talent)
            • Dream Tröll (British band - mix of styles. Give Second to None a try)
            • Fury (try to find their Lost in Space album)
            • Sellsword (fantasy/medieval-based - not for everyone but talented dudes
            • Amon Amarth (not new, but prolific in their music - Viking melodic metal)
            • Mustache (Swedish metal, not new. Check out some of their recent live performances on YouTube during COVID)

I hope you enjoy! Stay warm out there!

I used to make fun of "Viking metal" but Amon Amarth was pretty good live. Not Slayer or Lamb of God good but no one is.

                                Definitely a Led Zeppelin vibe.
