Something to add... fall/winter seeds can still be planted for the spring. Timed right (at or just before last frost), they will germinate and grow, with substantial moisture, until they start to bake. I've had my fall/winter plots last into the 1st part of May. I know this won't help with folk's summer plot challenges but it will at least help as a supplement for pregnant doe and new horn growth.
