        Glad he had um CROSSED. (Inside joke. Got pulled over with a WARNING because I didn't have my chains CROSSED)....LOL

          The reason for crossing them is that when a trailer comes loose the tongue will fall and rest on the chains instead of hitting the road.
          Trust me I’ve tested that theory twice and I’m a believer.

              If you have your chain lengths properly set, it works. If too long, add a couple twists and shorten them up.
