Buck shot no recovery

BIL shot a buck about 15 mins before legal light expired, temperature should be in the mid 40's. If we can't locate the buck and have to wait till the morning do y'all think we can salvage some meet? Thanks in advance.

I’d call a tracking doggo and see what they say.

If initial sign weak, call for dog.
