My niece is getting married. I’m not close to her in a family sense or in terms of distance. I’m not going to make it to the wedding. What would be a good amount of money to give as a wedding gift? Thanks in advance.

My niece got married years ago..I didn't go to the wedding. She got married on September 1st..I was dove hunting in San Angelo,duh..She was mad that my son,and ex-wife were there;and I wasn't...Don't get married opening day of dove season! Long story short,he cheated on her a couple years later;and she'll speak to me now @ Christmas.I didn't miss anything

The method I usually go by is. Find out where they are having it and what it costs per plate. If you are going with a guest, double that amount at minimum. I always try to cover my plate and some if I am close to the couple. If you are not going, send half of what you would have given if you showed.

Sister got an invite to a wedding today that had a monogramed wax seal. Multi million air marrying a muti million air. Glad I am not paying for the ride.
It just hit me and I ran upstairs. I would love to watch the show. Just asked her if I could be her plus one. These folks have been hearing stories for years about her sisters husband " Johnny Dangerr" that did this and that.
Been to million dollar wedding.
If I get in I will take pictures..........Last edited by Johnny Dangerr; 08-12-2021, 07:10 PM.
