Normally I would agree but this TCU defense is the worst I've seen. I just don't see it being close this year. Defensive line is very underwhelming. They will be ready to play I'm sure but I think Texas just out talents them this year.

I'm not buying it for one minute. Texas better come ready to play.

Classic trap game if I've ever seen one. Off a big win, on the road against a team who is struggling, a week before playing the biggest rival who is ranked #4. Hope they stay focused on TCU this week.

Last 10 years TCU is 2-8 in the game before they play Texas but is 8-2 against them. They'll be ready. (Saw this on Twitter but haven't validated it)

I'm just telling you guys, go watch the SMU game.....DL is missing a freshman all american DE, Bethley didn't play last week(no update yet for this week), and lost another DL for the season. They are bad! There's only one guy playing on the DL right now that could start for another P5 team. Backend is a mess(partly because how bad the DL is) and riddled with new guys that haven't figured out their assignments yet. I've never seen anything like it since GP has been there.

This is laughable.

Arkansas should clearly be the number one team in Texas.

Well, I had a long analysis of the game typed up on my phone...and then Tapatalk restarted! Here’s a summary:

Congrats to Resident Hog fans. Arkansas outplayed and out coached the Ags yesterday.

On to the next one.

Arkansas is better than I though. I also admit Texas is likely better than I thought. Losing to the pirate is in play. We don’t have a QB on the roster.

I called Iowa State as the top 10 pre season team that would finish outside the top 25.

But I suck badly at pickem. Lol.

I was wondering why Jimbo didn't put him in last year when Mond was struggling, it's clearly obvious now.

Appears every time the Frogs were moving the ball and threatening to answer an SMU score, they would commit a bonehead mistake: fumble, penalty, missed FG, etc…

Alarming statistic: SMU committed 3 turnovers and TCU could only manage 6 pts (2 FG’s). Conversely TCU commits 1 costly turnover that the Mustangs turned into 7 pts.

Does Marcel Brooks even play ? Is he hurt, buried in the depth chart ? He has 2 catches after 3 games this season. Very head-scratching college turnaround after showing so much promise as a freshman stud at LSU in 2019. I wanted to see the kid succeed @ TCU yet it appears he’s a “tweener” and doesn’t have a true position in GP’s system.

For all you wondering about the targeting I was bitching about…..watch the running back the pass was intended for in the middle of the screen.

Scroll down in the twitter feed and you’ll see an even better view of it.

He's been an enigma for sure, or at least the situation has. I thought he would play strong safety. Apparently he could master his responsibilities? GP is pretty stubborn with his defense....Made the switch to WR after he got hurt last year. He's 2 or 3 on the depth chart at the Z and gets very few targets. Ran the wrong route on one target in the 1st game. He's been great on special teams. It's a real head scratcher. I would be shocked if he's in FW next year. His attitude hasn't been great, which I could certainly see some of his frustration.......

You’re bitching about a different targeting call every week.

Check the ag lineman going at ol boys head after the ball is out, in the bottom right of your video:

Oh wow, you can read comments. There is no targeting rule inside the tackles for lineman….crazy thing, those rules, but there is one against blind side blocks and hits on defenseless receivers.

When has there ever been a lineman called for targeting or a RB called for targeting? Why? Because there is no targeting rule against it.

I wasn’t insinuating that it should be called, just that he was going at his head late….and that you are ALWAYS bitching about targeting calls.

The last one I bitched about was in the Ohio State game. My gripe isn’t just about this “no call”, it’s about the obvious and blatant calls against and no calls for certain teams. The rule is my gripe….I want to protect players yes, but there is ZERO consistency from game to game. And yes, the dip**** Aggie lineman does go after the Arkansas defender with the crown, and if you noticed he got the worst of it and he technically should have been ejected also, but the rule protects lineman and RB’s. I do not agree with that part of the rule, at all.

Looked like his chest to me too, but it’s tough to tell from behind. Once that thing is deflected up in the air, you better keep that head on a swivel. Either way, we need less penalties, not more.

While he’s not looking, yes and his head snaps back. I’ts called a hit on a defenseless receiver, its a personal foul, and it occurred before the INT. Thanks for clarifying.

The rule has nothing to do with the play, deflection means nothing, it’s about the safety of the players. You can’t target a defenseless receiver , no matter what. It was a cheap shot that should have been flagged.

And yes, we need less flags but consistency.

I can’t keep up with all the new rules, it didn’t look like he led with the crown of his helmet or targeted spiller above his shoulders. If the ball is tipped, is he really a receiver?

Also, I really don’t think aggy would think that was a bad hit if it were ag that laid out pig or if it were a horn that got laid out.

So true. This game will tell a whole bunch about this team.
