    Tent camping in the summer

The wife and I have been talking about doing more camping. I'm ready to go next month.

Question for the GS that tent camp.

How do you keep the tent cool in the Texas summer heat?

I've got a room AC (portable) that I can bring. But how does one insulate the tent to keep the tent reasonable to sleep in with the type heat we get.

Is it possible, or do we need to kick this can to October?

Can't keep it cool very long. They sell tents with an a/c chute and just keep the a/c on all day.

Simple answer is you leave Texas. How much time do you have and where are you? New Mexico or Colorado.

We took our two little ones camping beginning of June and it was way tough for them . Even low 80’s at night was pretty uncomfortable

                Just. Don’t.

Lol. No way no how. Camp in the winter or go somewhere that has an elevation above 8000 feet. Lololol

Not much you can do if you sleep in a tent. A fan helps, but that’s about it.

                    We just deal with it.

You buy a Bereg, A/C/stove vent already in place .

Winner! Was in Colorado last week, just above 10k elevation, perfect camping weather!

Go to west Texas to avoid major night time humidity. Or, go northwest enough to get away from the heat. A campsite with electricity will allow for the fan, and that’s often enough to get you through the night. Without electricity, battery operated or solar powered tent fans can keep it somewhat comfy.

                              Got it.
