Are you asking because you’re curious about those countries specifically or are you trying to make the point that artists from other countries aren’t as popular as USA talent ?
If the latter - apparantely that boy band BTS from Korea had global popularity that was comparable to the Beatles. I doubt they caught the listening attention of the “old dogs” that resident this forum.
That being said I couldn’t tell you the name of one of their songs
They are a manufactured group just like New Kids on the Block and Insync were here in the U.S. Having said that their songs are pretty catchy. I have their greatest hits album (even though they are still around) i jam at work every once in a while just to change things up. I know i know....i just lost some major cool points.
I should have eliminated England and English singers and rock/metal bands with not much actual singing. Why do the European (non British) countries not have more singers that are popular over here...versus the multitudes of American singers/bands that are also popular in Europe?
I cannot imagine a Dutch, German (or whatever) singer performing in their native language ever being in America or globally popular.
