How Many Grams of Thinsulate

Looking at getting new hunting boots for this season. In the early-mid season I wear snake boots, and then tradition to boots with Thinsulation. I was thinking about getting 800grams. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have rocky 800gram, I might wear them once a season and they are plenty warm.

800 is too much unless your feet just really get cold.

I have a pair of 400's for Texas and a pair of 2000's for South Dakota

People with poor circulation may need more but 400 grams with a good wool sock is all I've ever needed in Texas.
