    Are there any mountain lions in jim hogg County?

    Your going to get all kinds of answers on this. The short of it is yes. Lions are expanding territory all over the state. They keep a low profile and can cover hundreds of miles over a few months time.

                  Big Bend country probably has the largest population followed by South Texas, hill country and West Texas in that order.

                    I have heard that there is a population in every county in the state including Dallas and Harris.

                          I’ve seen two one night in Zapata county off Jennings ranch road. Jim Hogg is right next door.

                            I've hunted at a lease on and off for about 20 years in Jim Hogg county. We've seen tracks and seen a young one there.

                              Confirmed in Dallas Co. by security camera. Later killed back in December in Hunt county just a wee bit north of original sighting.
