Hog deterrent?

I'm looking for hog deterrent options for my parent's. Their back yard has been devastated again last night from pigs coming out of SHNF. Going to try a solar powered motion-sensing strobe with 129 decibel alarm and see if that helps.



Has anyone had experience with the ultrasonic type animal repellers and know if they might work with hogs?

I was also gonna suggest an electric wire for the yard.

Easiest thing would be for them to treat their yard for grubs.

This is a neighborhood so houses on both sides. That's SAM on the backyard boundary. Shooting would be fun but not a lasting solution. The strobe/alarm has been ordered and is going to be installed on a short post out by that sago.

A hot wire can be done pretty cheap and easy, about 6"-8" off the ground...they do not like getting buzzed in the snout!

That close to the house just put a radio around there and they will stay away. Oh yes Hip Hop will scare them. Lol

Just get with all the neighbors. If they tore his yard up, just a matter of time before they hit the neighbors, if haven't already. Get everybody on board, then blast away.
