Dream to Reality III: Salt Creek Ranch

Finished my last project for the trip and caught a few fish before heading home!! This creek crossing was impassable but a little work with John Deere and it’s good to go now! Next trip up hoping to get the plots all planted!

Chance Love, the property hasn’t been hunted in the last 4 years so no feed has been fed. I hope with my feeding program and the food plots new bucks will start showing up. I have a few bucks showing up but no monsters yet. I have found two good sheds that I’m excited about. This is the biggest buck I have on camera.

Yes sir, that’s pretty much what it is. It filled up with debris and washed one side out. It’s hard to see but it took 22 front end loader buckets to fill it in! I don’t think it had been used in awhile!

With it being so dry I got the plots all planted about a month ago but still no rain. The plots are just begging for a rain……Also got my portable bow blind all put back together and got it back out! This stand is handy!

Next week we have been waiting for the entire year……..the woods should be magical leading up to the rut! Good rain would be a bonus to kick everything into gear!

My plots are in the same shape as yours, needing that rain bad on Monday. Rain or not though, the hunting is about to get good within the next few days. I’ll be up there the 26th through the 3rd.
