Little change of pace topic, but related to CFB. Heading to NOLA as one of my best friends is being inducted into our HS Athletic Hall of Fame. He was the do-everything QB and a great athlete. All State in FB, ran the 400m (49 seconds), and threw the javelin 180 ft. In Feb 1986 he signed to play CFB @ SMU. (Billy K may know or remember Mark). He wasn't there long before the Death Penalty was enforced. Mark and several other Mustang players ended up playing at Georgia. Mark eventually moved back to Dallas and established his family and career - I believe he's in investment banking ?? Pictures below from his CFB playing days. The LSU player is LB Nicky Hazard who is another friend of mine from NOLA. We will be honoring Mark at the presentation and roast tonight and a get together tomorrow afternoon. BTW, I played TE and LB. Against our heated rival (Newman - where the Mannings and ODB went to school) I had 9 catches for 137 yds with 2 TD's, and was named NOLA HS player of the week.
