Had a guy in from Houston and one from Dallas last week. We met at 2M at 11:30. Both guys said it was the best brisket they had ever had. We had a rack of ribs and a couple links. They had a Fontina sausage that was great. Good homemade pickles.

If you want to drive over to Bandera, Busbee's BBQ is pretty dang good.

I've only eaten there once several years ago but I enjoyed it. I'm up in Bandera all the time and I keep forgetting to swing in there. Usually hit up OST.

I am not from San Antonio but was surprised by how good the BBQ was at the HEB. You must have really good Q at the indepedents.

I moved to Boerne about 6 mos ago & have yet to find a good Bar B Q joint.

Fritz's is hit and miss. sometimes really good and then....
Drive towards Sisterdale and try Blackboard BBQ
Not a fan of Smokey Mos and that about covers Boerne BBQ

When coming to/from the aeropuerto in SA, I actually like hitting Alamo Cafe for the brisket tacos and charro beans. Consistently solid, though not a "BBQ" place in the classic sense. And mighty convenient for those traveling 281.

I go to Dee Willies on O’Connor in Independence for lunch about one a month. Brisket is pretty good and the ribs are, too. Give them a try.
