Buck Akonua knives

Took the family to see my Dad last week.
He’s got a desk drawer of old knives and we were being nosey.

I’ve seen my share of Buck knives, but hadn’t seen this one.

He says it’s from the early 70’s.
It's got a nice feel and I'd like to try it.
But if it really is that old, no sense in getting it bloody now.

Anybody else got one?

That is cool. I've never seen one. If it were my Dad's I sure wouldn't hesitate to get it bloody. I like using passed down stuff for it's intended purpose. Makes it more special to me....but that's just me.

agree! I use a knife my grandpa gave me and its it the best knife I can carry

Safe queen guns and knives are kinda annoying.
Even if it is unused and almost 50 years old.

Knife

I have a knife that looks almost just like that, including the sheath. It’s made by Rigid. It has a real nice feel to it. I don’t know how old it is but I would bet 70’s.
