Default Could use some good Aggie vibes

My son submitted his application to A&M at midnight last night. He could use some positive Aggie energy sent his way.

Is he from Texas or America? If so Im pretty sure they don’t accept applications from those two groups anymore

Kidding! Good luck to him.

Whoop! Another wise young person in our midst! I wish him well. Tell him to join the Corps. Fifty-one years later, my buddies and I still get together every year and I talk with at least one of them more than once a week. Friends for life for sure, as Barney1971 said.

Thanks everyone. I think he has a strong application between grades, test scores, extra curriculars, and service work. But I'm hearing it's more difficult each year for a kid to go right in from HS instead of Blinn.

On September 3rd, one of my best friends from our days at A&M and I will start our 43rd year of going to football games together. The older I get the more special A&M is to me. The campus may change, some traditions may fade, but Aggie friends are forever.

But Blinn route has worked for some of our friend’s kids. .

Might ask him to consider Arkansas. Great college environment
Sure worked out well for us and some of our other friends.

Ol' Rock may shoot a crossbow or a compound, depends on if Rockelle is sleeping on her right side or her left side when he wakes up.

Class of 2011. I had to go the blinn route because I had too much fun in high school. Sticking it out and working hard to get into A&M is the best decision I ever made. Made a lot friends there that I talk to daily. Met my wife there. Made many memories that we still talk about. There is a ton of pressure when it comes to your academics. The best advice I received when I was there is this.

“You can sleep when your dead”

Gig ‘Em and tell him to have fun. It goes by quick.

Good luck to em!
My son is in his second year there now.
He lives behind Northgate and seems to be having a good time.

Last year- Spending too much time with the nefarious blonde split tail drug his GPA right out of Mays business school, luckily that saga ended before his time at CS was cut short.

There were a couple of talks had about fun now vs fun later.
He might have heard some of it - lol.

Reminds me of a Limp Bizkit song....

Appreciate it, everyone! The kid has a 4.02 GPA, 1310 SAT, National Honor Society, CAT (service organization), PALS (mentor program), tons of volunteer work that he didn't even count, and played football and ran track. I really thought he would be a shoo-in. He didn't even apply anywhere else. He said that if he has to go the Blinn route, then so be it, but he WILL graduate from A&M.

Oh, and like 7 endorsements! Plus two really strong letters of recommendation. Kid busted his tail in high school. I would really like to see his hard work pay off.
