    Killing a peacock

Well whats the legality surrounding killing a peacock?

Say a friend of mine lives out of city limits and has rogue peacocks all over their place that mess up their garden and crap everywhere.

Can we shoot a colorful bird or two?

They are an exotic. Not native to here, not controlled by our laws.

    That's my guess.

They're pretty big birds. I think I could hit one with a 12 ga if he got within 30 yds.

They are not native or migratory. I would think they are ok to drop....

When your "friend" kills it, throw it on the bbq and let us know how it tastes!

Well so long as its legal, we are gonna try and get one tonight. I was there a week ago and these things roost in trees at night and call so they aren't hard to find.

We spotted one and I climbed 30 feet up the oak tree and kept inching closer too it, not knowing when it was about to take off or what it would do. I ended up getting all the way to it and i just shoved it right out of the tree. It fell about 10 feet and then flew to another tree and did a sort of crash landing.

Shouldn't be too hard to get one

I already argued I'd get to be the shooter! and I definitely wanna try it, any suggestions on how to cook it?
