I had to cut down two orange trees and trim a big grapefruit tree way back at our place in Flour Bluff. Kept the wood for smoking and BBQ. Looking forward to mild, sweet flavor.

It brought out a ""no pine either" comment.

              Lol.

this I know is true. my first and last try at eating one was on top of treated wet 2x4's. but then again, during my younger days. tried it oh, 10 years ago with treated 6x6. same effect. thought it may save me some time. you know faster cooking time.

                        Born and raised in FL.

Citrus is very good for smoking fish but don't over smoke it. Liked orange or sour orange the best.

It is OK but not great for pork and chicken, not so much at all for beef.

                            Good push.

Id figure too much sap wood throughout citrus to cook or smoke at all. The real deal BBQ Gurus I know only use heart wood to bbq and burn off all sap wood in fire pit.
