Small brow tines

This may have been discussed at some point and if so my apologies. But I’m after a pretty wide 3x4 deer. I’d say he’s 3.5 yrs old. He has minimal bow tines or just stubs. The buck has nice width but w these small brow tines I think he needs shot. My question is does he ha e much of a chance at growing nicer brows in the future? And 2, are the offspring likely to be almost brow less?

We have had deer like that in the past. They never developed brows over about half an inch. No reason to leave them when you have other bucks in the same age class with good brows.

Shoot him at 6 years old and find out what he grows.

Brow times make up the least amount of score when it comes to a trophy so why give it so much credit?

Leave all deer till 5.5 to show max potential.

"Let them grow" all depends on the situation. One buck county? Large property with other mature bucks? Heavily hunted area? ...

Not sure how likely the offspring are to be similar, I saw one article talked about genetics being passed from maternal grandfather, but not sure how accurate that is. Any other studies on bucks passing antler genetics like that?
I actually got a tall basket buck 2 years ago and I swear I saw his offspring this year.
