Default Good example of why to let a buck age

Good example of what can happen when a buck gets a chance to age. Good genetics, good diet, good age. To be clear, given the chance i'd have shot this deer last year. Glad i didn't have the chance. Hope i have the chance this year. We shall see...

You sure it’s the same buck? I see similarities, but lots of differences too. Either way, nice buck

This year is the first year i've managed to keep protein in that feeder for most of the year. I just let it run out a few weeks ago. Looks like he got his share.

Also, based on camera pics for the last three weeks, it looks like he's bugged out for awhile. He did the same thing last year. Showed back up in early December. I hope he does the same thing this year. Mainly i hope he doesn't mess around and get shot on the north side of the Red River. We'll see...

He made a nice jump. I hope you get him. I wouldn't have thought that this was the same buck just based on these pics. I'm sure you have way more pics and history with this deer and would know but I can see why someone would think that those are two different deer.

It's the same deer. I've seen him three years now. There is a little bump by his left brow tine in the top two pics. That same bump is a little more noticeable this year. Also, the G2 on his right side is bladed and split. You can't see that in the bottom two pics, but that is true as well. It's a little hard to notice, but his right side G2 is split in the top pic as well.
