How much to charge for brush hogging?

I paid $300 to get 5 acres mowed. Beforehand I priced renting a little Kubota with 6 footer and it was gonna be $275 plus I had to return it full of diesel.

It was pretty thick stuff but absolutely no metal or wires. This was just to prep a food plot area.

Just be sure charge enough to cover that maintenance plus the money he's wanting to make! Expected maintenance+his profit per hr+fuel cost+ whatever cost I didn't think to add onto the list= price per hour! Pass on to the young man a tip an old timer was told me, "if nobodies complaining about your prices-you ain't chargin enough!

I just paid $75 per hour for a 125 hp tractor and 18’ batwing. It was a good deal.

All depends on the property I got a 70hp with a 12ft batwing big thick brush will burn more diesel/wear and tear on the equipment and take more time to get a good clean cut.
