I shot this sow just before I shot the piglet. She was coming through the brush passing my tripod. I hit her a bit back. Looked at the blood and new I got at best one lung. Found her this morning after a 300 yard track.
First, thanks Burr for driving this thread all year and the great year you've had, it speaks volumes to your character and abilities! and to all the regular ongoing contributors and those trad trophys posted prior ....heart felt "Congratulations" to all...Im not a social media guru here or elsewhere so dont jump in much but do.... I think the term is troll, follow when time allows...?I appreciate all the constructive advice, mentoring, stories n pics and the overall "positive" reinforcement and encouragement this community of folks embodies...and all Trad topics discussed here...with that said...my short story.. its been 8 years since tagging any branch antlered male deer....missed a few good ones over the years,its a process I tell myself.... and did it again this year .''a congratulatory laugh it off to at least getting that close"...operation 2019 for a book buck now?...tagged this one Dec 2nd, a.m. he fled straight to a pond 100 plus yards out and jumped in and expired swimming across to the bewilderment of my buddy Robert watching in a stand located there.... its great having the young bucks in camp for those chores...thanks again to all and best to y'all in finishing out the year!
