Painting ( smoking out) cab lights

Anyone ever paint or " smoke out" your tail lights....I am wanting to do it to my cowboy lights on the cab and wondering the process is.....

My truck is Delmonico red and black rims, lift, and bars.....the Orange lights just look out of place on it

Don’t know about painting them but you can buy the black lights to replace them pretty cheap.

I had my tail lights done years ago by a body shop buddy. I think all he did was spray them black then a coat or 3 of clear.

I wonder if a fabric dye like Rit would work? I know radio control car guys dye their plastic parts with it.

I would just replace them with some smoked LED ones. They are reasonably priced.

I did my tail lights several years ago on my old truck. I used a spray product called lens tint with good results but the prep work was a total pain. I wouldn't bother with it if pre smoked lenses are that cheap.
