    Wood type?

Can anyone name this tree/wood? I used to think I had a decent grasp of tree types but don’t know this one. Thinking maybe white oak, but honestly not sure. No leaves and was next to sweet gum and know it looks different from them.

Well, that’s exactly what it’s for. Just curious if I could cook with it after seasoning. Guess I’ll find out later.

Elm looks like a good match looking at Google. Thank you all!

If it broke or fell over in the freeze...elm.

...and if it is elm, you probably won't be happy with it as firewood...
